Guys just saw the previous owner of my Z at a car meet last (he broke my rx7...) Well we got to talking and he said he forgot to tell me that the Zs timing belt failed and that it messed it up the head and had valve slap pretty bad. Well long story short he said a shop said almost 3grand to fix it so he put a JDM motor in. Is there anyway to check this? Car runs fine just heard the JDM motor is weaker due to the gentlemans clause in japan which limits cars to 280hp or whatever they use. But since I have an auto all should be the since the auto Z is only rated at 280 right? Thanks in advance fellas
